Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Arjestahelpompaa.fi (the "Service") processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller

2. Data we collect
We collect: family code and name, children's first names and ages (optional), user-created content (tasks, recipes, favorites), payment transactions (Stripe), server logs (IP, browser). We do not collect email or phone numbers.
3. Legal basis
Performance of contract (GDPR 6.1.b) and legitimate interest in delivering the Service (GDPR 6.1.f).
4. Retention
Data is retained while the family uses the Service. You may request deletion any time via tuki@arjestahelpompaa.fi. Payment records are retained 6 years per accounting law.
5. Sharing
We use: Anthropic (AI), Stripe (payments), MongoDB Atlas (database), cloud provider. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
6. Children's privacy
Parents may save a child's first name and age for AI planning. Do not add identifying details. You can remove child entries any time.
7. AI usage
We send family size, children's ages (numbers), meal preferences and optionally a fridge photo to Anthropic Claude. Anthropic does not use this data for model training via the Emergent LLM Key.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
9. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies (localStorage for family code, language and consent storage). With your consent we also use PostHog analytics to understand how the Service is used and improve it. You can decline analytics from the banner shown on first visit — PostHog then does not load at all. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled because the Service does not work without them.
10. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Database is access-controlled. We notify affected users within 72 hours of any data breach.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes are announced in the app.
